CRM Solutions are very important.  Having great marketing and websites can only take you so far... once you get the lead, you need to be able to communicate with them effectively, track these communications, and develop and understand the lead from start to finish.  Sales agents need the structure and the platform to conduct this.  Sales Managers need this to project numbers and manage agents effectively.  Marketers want to know what campaigns and efforts produce not just leads, but sales.  Customer relationship management (CRM) helps businesses to gain an insight into the behaviour of their customers and modify their business operations to ensure that customers are served in the best possible way.

After testing out and implementing numerous CRM platforms, we have come to the conclusion that our favorite CRM Solutions are SalesForce and SugarCRM.  For those that are smaller companies, we recommend SalesForce for easy setup and start up.  For those that have a robust growth plan, and have the luxury of building and customizing a CRM from the ground up, we recommend SugarCRM.  SalesForce is much cheaper from an initial standpoint, but can become much more expensive than that of SugarCRM as the number of users/features increases.
